Aaron descending Lanín volcano
Aaron Rice descending from 12,000 feet on Lanín volcano in Chile.

Almost a year ago, Aaron Rice set out to pursue a dream, to see how many vertical feet he could ski without the use of any mechanized uphill assistance.

We’re thrilled to share that Aaron, a 2015 Adventure
Scholarship recipient, has broken the world’s record of 2 Million human powered vertical feet, and is charging towards his goal of 2.5 million.

Says Aaron, “my goal was never to break or set a record, rather it is to see what I can achieve.” A true adventurer!

Go Aaron!
