My name is Leslie Hendricks, I am 22 years old and I plan to bike across the country this July. I am from Philadelphia, PA and I currently reside in Burlington, VT where I attend the University of Vermont. I will be graduating from UVM in May 2014 with a degree in Environmental Studies and will testing my strength, patience endurance, and outdoor knowledge through 4,265 miles of diverse norther US terrain. I am a firm believer in sustainability, and I practice using biking as a mode of transportation whenever possible. Amongst other values, this bike trip represents the possibilities that biking can bring to people who strive to travel sustainability and have an amazing adventure doing so!
