Josh received his Adventure Scholarship award in 2017. Here is his update in HIS words. Click here to learn more about Josh.

The Flyin Ryan Adventure Scholarship assisted me in my avalanche science and safety development. I have now completed my Pro 2 from the American Avalanche Association through Silverton Avalanche School. I have been educating employees who work in utilities and industrial applications through my work at Xcel Energy’s Renewable Operations division. I am forever grateful for the support that Flyin Ryan Foundation gave to me so that I can now be where I am today.

In addition to the avalanche training, I have continued to serve on the Board of Directors with the International Freeskiers & Snowboarders Association (IFSA) for the last 11 years. Our beautiful grassroots organization has grown so much since I first received my scholarship. We now have 5000+ athlete member and 740+ coach members. We have implemented the Flyin Ryan Decisions and Core Values programing into our coach training curriculum and continue on a path of global international sport development for big mountain skiing and snowboarding.

All, this work has been in effort through my core values of;

Be the best father I can be

Be the best husband I can be

Work Hard

Enjoy the adventure in life

Have fun
