This year’s golf tournament, the seventh annual Akes/Flyin Ryan Tournament at Rocky Ridge, was a spectacular success. The tournament sold out quickly and was truncated due to Covid-19 concerns. Nevertheless, 29 teams ventured forth at the Rocky Ridge Golf course and had a terrifically good time in the glorious September weather. We were overwhelmed with the sense of positivity and upbeat spirit that prevailed throughout the day. We had to make several adjustments in order to comply with social distancing guidelines but that failed to dampen the enthusiasm of the players. We are certainly grateful to the McKenzie Brothers who provided their incredible Vermont hot dogs for the crowd. Also to the Kountry Kart Deli who got everybody rolling with a collection of sliders to die for. Mother nature cooperated and gave us the best possible weather.  We want to thank all our friends and volunteers for helping to make this event such a very special occasion. One casualty of Covid-19 is the silent auction. We hope to conduct a viral silent auction later this fall. The tournament resulted in net revenues of just over $15,000, an all-time best.

Thank you to all who helped make this possible!
