The Adventure Scholarship program is one of Flyin Ryan’s core missions. The Flyin Ryan Adventure Scholars are a diverse group of more than 150 people who have well-defined dreams, who embrace the Core Values Matter message, and who met all met the requirements for receiving an award at the time they applied. Awards are given based on the following factors:

  1. Financial need
  2. Their character and how it is reflected in their core values for living
  3. A demonstrated passion for their goal
  4. The ability to pursue their dream

Over the years we have made awards to people pursuing athletic, creative, intellectual and many other adventures. We are grateful to be in a position to support these various people in their unique journeys.

One example is Jonathan Shapiro who used his award to go tracking with indigenous San Bushman elders in the Kalahari Desert, Namibia. Another is Lillian Sudduby who represented the United States of America at the Liattoppen Biathlon Festival.
