My Name Is Alex Greco and I am 18 years old. I have a huge passion for the outdoors, I think in the mountains is where you learn your most important lessons. I love to ski, mountain bike, hike and climb. My biggest passion is skiing, I have been skiing since I was 2 years old and it gets better every winter. There is no better feeling than skiing powder! My favorite place to ski is Mad River Glen. I would like to thank my family and friends for helping me get to where I am today.
I am applying for the adventure scholarship so I can compete on the Ski the East Freeride Tour. It has always been a goal of mine to compete on the tour. Since I am going to school in Vermont this winter I had hoped to make this goal happen, but my financial situation will not allow me to enter competitions. Participating in the tour will really help me as a skier. By competing I could push my skills, my endurance and my character to the next level. The experience would broaden my horizons, expand my confidence in my abilities and myself, and also assist me in achieving my future goals.
