Daniel’s Bio
Daniel Ruiz Jimenez is a 24-year-old private pilot, aircraft mechanic, and aviation maintenance management student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide. Raised in Davis, California, he discovered aviation during his senior year of high school through Boy Scouts. A discovery flight for an aviation merit badge confirmed his goal of pursuing flight training.
Daniel flies with Cal Aggie Flying Farmers and holds a private pilot certificate and aircraft mechanic qualifications. After completing the instrument knowledge exam, he is beginning instrument training to strengthen his safety and cross-country skills. His philosophy is to “fly ahead of the airplane” by remaining prepared and disciplined.
Outside aviation, Daniel runs a small marketing business, supports the Experimental Aircraft Association’s youth flight initiatives, and hopes to introduce more young people to flying, maintenance, and entrepreneurship. He also trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai.
