Griffin’s Bio
I’m Griffin Larson, a 17-year-old freeskier from Essex, Vermont. Last year, I was honored with a Flyin’ Ryan scholarship for my trip to the Junior Freeride World Championships in Austria.
I began skiing at Smuggs when I was 3, joined the SNSC freeski team at 8, and have been competing ever since. I’ve traveled across North America and into Europe for freeskiing events. This year, I’m excited to be a freeski coach for the Smugglers Notch Freeski Team, looking forward to sharing the joy of skiing with the younger generation.
In the summer, I transition into a competitive cyclist, racing on both mountain and road bikes. I am also a mountain bike coach at the Catamount Outdoor Center, where I guide kids aged 6-14 on how to become better mountain bikers.
