Pete’s Bio

My name is Pete Monahan, and I am a 14-year-old freeskier from southern Vermont. I have been on skis since I could walk and grew up skiing at Magic Mountain, where I learned to love the mountains and the community around them. I also ski at Bromley, Stratton, and at mountains where I compete in IFSA events. I am an all-around outdoor athlete who plays school sports such as baseball and soccer, and I spend my summers skateboarding and downhill mountain biking. Through both individual and team sports, I have learned perseverance, teamwork, and the importance of supporting others. Skiing is my greatest passion, and being outdoors gives me confidence, freedom, and positivity. I strive to carry a positive attitude on and off the mountain and hope to continue growing as an athlete while sharing my love of skiing and the outdoors with others, in the spirit of Flyin Ryan.
