Ryan’s Bio

My name is Ryan Lacey and I live in Waitsfield, Vermont. I am a sophomore at Harwood Union High School in Waterbury VT. I was born in Massachusetts and moved to Vermont in 2017. I have been skiing since I was two and love it more each year. I have skied with the Mad River Glen Freeski Team and competed in IFSA for seven years. I started ski racing for Harwood last year which has helped my freeskiing a lot. Competing in freeskiing has been a great way to challenge myself beyond just skiing; it’s mentally tough, and planning lines has helped me learn to plan and execute – and change plans on the fly. When I’m not skiing I am golfing, fishing, and playing baseball.
