Zoe’s Bio
Hello – my name is Zoe O’Neill. I am a 22-year-old senior at Madison Area Tech College studying Occupational Therapy. I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and was super lucky to have parents that introduced me to hiking, camping, and backpacking from a young age. During summers I am lucky enough to go to isle royale national park for up to 16 days backpacking with my mom. I am passionate about learning more about nature and preserving the Parks. The money from the scholarship will go towards the flight to the San Diego airport to start the Pacific Crest Trail at the Mexican border and hike it up to Canada. Additionally, this gives me an opportunity to see if I would like to do Occupational Therapy in any of the states I go through and may help me consider travel OT as well.

My Core Values
- Building connections with others
- Appreciation for the opportunities provided by travel
- Do it for those who can not
- Enjoy the journey
- It always works out
- Embrace vulnerability
- Do it scared
- Do it alone
- Don't settle
- Everything in life is a journey
- It doesn't get easier, you just get used to it
