Josh Mattson in deep powder

Josh Mattson is a former Freeskiing World Tour (FWT) & Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) competitor. Currently, he is working to build the Big Mountain competitive scene as the Director of Development, Board Member, & Senior Head Judge for the International Freeskiers & Snowboarders Association (IFSA).

Moving forward he is looking to expand his skills and knowledge from current outdoor leadership in avalanche safety, outdoor medicine and rescue skills. As an outdoor professional and athlete he enjoys spending as much time as possible outside. Skiing, biking, rock climbing, and hiking are a few things that he enjoys doing outside. Now he is excited to take his son, Elijah, outdoors and teach him the joys and challenges that the mountains offer.

Josh Mattson’s Adventure Scholarship was sponsored by our generous partners at Long Trail Brewing.
