Brenda’s Bio

My name is Brenda Findley, and I’m a para climber on the 2026 USA Para Climbing Development Team. I began climbing after discovering adaptive sports, and it quickly became my passion. Climbing challenges me both physically and mentally, teaching me resilience, creativity, and confidence. As a para athlete, I’ve learned that progress often means forging my own path, not following the standard route. Climbing has given me a strong sense of identity and community, showing me that adaptive sports are about possibilities, not limitations. I’m motivated to inspire others new to the adaptive lifestyle—encouraging them to try new things, take risks, and realize they belong in athletic spaces. Through sharing my para climbing journey, I hope to empower others to discover their own capabilities, both on the climbing wall and in life.
