About 500 riders participated in this year’s Vermont Grand Fondo, held on June 25th 2022. Two thirds of the riders did the entire route which is 107 miles and includes four gaps: the Appalachian gap, the Brandon gap, the Lincoln Gap, and the Middlebury gap. Flyin Ryan fielded a team of four riders who did the Appalachian gap and the Lincoln gap. The Lincoln gap features a 26% grade and is known as one of the steepest paved roads in America. Our ride was just under 40 miles and included 6,000 feet of climbing. The Flyin Ryan Foundation enjoys the Distinction of being a summit sponsor for this event.
